Meet the worrier

Meet the worrier offers one bounded practice step without promising a particular feeling or outcome.

Use when: spiralling thoughts, uncertainty

How the practice works

  1. Read the frame This is a thinking device, not a real inner entity. Stop if personifying a thought feels less orienting.
  2. Name the situation If the worried thought could state its warning plainly, what would it say?
  3. Record what you notice What reasonable need or value might sit beneath that warning?
  4. Record what you notice What grounded answer can you give without promising certainty?
